New Orleans is an OLD American city. It is located in the deepest South but it is not really a Southern city. It is mostly built on water so flooding is an ever possible peril and rain a frequent visitor. It is one of the only cities in the USA where French is the second language. It has many sections each with its own personality. More of that later, when I have more to say.
